Your Safety is Our Priority

We want to let you know, as we move forward, our reemergence will include additional diligent cleaning protocols. Prior to reopening, each Donner Lake Village room will be deep cleaned. After guests' departures, we will have additional safety steps that include stringent cleaning and disinfecting. We take our commitment to cleanliness and care very seriously and are working to ensure the wellbeing of our guests and staff.

Acknowledgement

Upon your arrival at Donner Lake Village You will be asked to read and sign an Acknowledgement/Liability Release letter asking questions about your health and recent contacts.
  • Are you currently experiencing, or recently experienced, any acute respiratory illness symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath?
  • Have you been in close contact with any persons who has been confirmed positive for COVID-19?
  • Have you been in close contact with any persons who have traveled and are also exhibiting acute respiratory illness symptoms?
If "Yes "is your answer to any of these questions or you do not sign the Acknowledgement, you will not be able to check into Donner Lake Village.

Quick Information for your Stay

  • We ask that all Guests and Owners wear masks while in the hotel in common areas.
  • Sanitizing Stations are located throughout the hotel.
  • Disposable masks are available at the Front Desk.
  • All mid-stay housekeeping services are discontinued. Only departure cleans are available.>
  • Maintenance staff will only enter occupied rooms in case of an emergency. 
  • Outdoor BBQs are open. Signage is placed to remind everyone to practice social distancing.

  • The Fireside Lounge area is open for guest and owner use, all other indoor gathering spaces are closed.

Social distancing notifications, face coverings and signage

  • All Donner Lake Village Check-in is remote with KABA Keys codes for each room to easily minimize contact with the Front Desk.
  • Guests can check out remotely by calling the front desk before leaving their room. Front Desk Staff are required to wear facial coverings at the Front Desk.
  • Granite Peak Management recommends that all individuals on-site at Donner Lake Village wear masks when in common areas and withing of other parties outside.
 

Front Desk

  • All Donner Lake Village Check-in are remote with KABA Keys codes for each room to easily minimize contact with the Front Desk.
  • Guests can check out remotely by calling the front desk before leaving their room. Front Desk Staff are required to wear facial coverings at the Front Desk.
  • Granite Peak Management recommends that all individuals on site at Donner Lake Village wear masks when in common areas and withing 6' of other parties outside.
 

Marked Entrances and Exits

  • Donner Lake Village front desk doors are propped open during office hours to encourage contactless entrance.
  • Signs are posted advising guests to give the person in the doorway time to clear it before walking through.
  • Signs are posted advising guests to practice social distancing and limit stairwell occupancy to one party at a time.
 

Common Area Cleaning Programs

Common Areas are cleaned between 7am - 10pm daily.
  • High Touch areas such as doorknobs, bars, handles, are sanitized hourly using CDC/EPA List-N certified disinfectant.
  • Stairwell railing and door handles are sanitized regularly.
  • Fireside Lounge Furniture is cleaned and disinfected regularly with the last cleaning at 4:00 pm.
 

Common Area Amenities

  • Outdoor BBQs are open. Signage is placed to remind everyone to practice social distancing.
  • Donner Lake Village Lakefront Courtyard is open. Signage is placed to remind everyone to practice social distancing.
  • The Fireside Lounge is open. Signage and rules are in-place to remind everyone to practice social distancing.
 

In Room Cleaning and Maintenance

Housekeeping

  • All mid-stay housekeeping services are discontinued. Only departure cleans are available. No housekeeper will enter a unit until 24-hours after guests have departed.
  • In room items- All paper products in room are converted to single-use.

Maintenance

  • Industry wide guidelines suggest the removal of non-washable items from rooms much possible. This includes throw pillows, sashes, bed runners, decorative bedspreads, etc. These items will be removed.
  • Maintenance staff will only enter occupied rooms in case of an emergency.
  • Maintenance staff will wear masks and other PPE as needed to get the job done.
We are committed to providing the highest quality care for our guests. We will continue to monitor the latest guidance from federal, state and local officials on a regular basis and will update our information and protocols based on best and safest practices.

  • During these changing times for travel when we do not know what exactly is happening next, Donner Lake Village is providing flexibility for your bookings.
  • For new and existing reservations departing prior to November 20, 2020* we will allow the reservation to be changed or canceled at no charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled arrival date.  Holiday travel dates (July 2-5, 2020) are 14 days for a reservation to be changed or canceled at no charge.
 

Additional Details

  • Currently, reservations with departure dates after November 20, 2020 will be at standard Donner Lake Village cancellation policies. This date and associated policies are subject to change.
  • Group reservations are subject to the terms of their specific contract cancel policy.
  • For all reservations there are no refunds for no shows, late arrivals or early departure. There are refunds for early departures if it was a result of a federal, state or municipal order to "Stay at Home" at your primary residence.
