Why Midweek Vacations Are the Way to Go

About 4 year(s) ago by Becky Moore

Before we launch into why you should book a midweek stay at Donner Lake Village immediately, let's just acknowledge this has been one heck of a winter! Heard around town: "that was the best day I've had on the mountain in my entire life," so yes – you don't want to miss out on the 500 INCHES of snow we've gotten this season.

Untouched Powder

Simply put, the weekends around Truckee-Tahoe are busy and crowded. We get it. You pile everyone into the car on your days off and head up the mountain, but it's truly not the best time to come. Midweek is when you'll get fresh tracks, and first chair. Many times this winter the storms have rolled in on a Thursday or Friday, and our bluebird days have happened Monday through Wednesday.

Our Lowest Rates

This one is a given. When you book midweek at Donner Lake Village you can save up to 30% OFF your entire stay. That's pretty hefty savings if you're able to jet away for a few nights in the middle of the week. Save big. Ski big. Enough said.

Shorter Lines Everywhere

Less cars on the road. Shorter lines at the grocery. Shorter lines on the mountain (if any). Shorter waits for dinner reservations. It's all-around a more convenient time to stay lakeside and drive to the mountain to ski or snowboard.

Our best piece of advice though is to book directly with us! Our Reservation Agents have the scoop on our lowest rates, the best rooms, the inside scoop around town. Book now: donnerlakevillage.com
