If you enjoy a beautiful scenery, a good picnic, and mesmerizing classical music then Lake Tahoe Music Festival is for you. Lake Tahoe Music Festival is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to growing the musicians of tomorrow for over 32 years. The program gives young musicians the opportunity to perform with current working professionals and build their resume.
Starting on August 16 through August 21, several lakefronts and intimate locations around Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City and Truckee will bring you outdoor classical music with spectacular views. There will be 5 Sunset Serenades in total throughout the duration of the festival. These 20-Piece Academy Orchestra concerts will be held in different locations. You are invited and encouraged to bring a blanket or low lawn chair and pack a picnic basket with wine to enjoy the amazing scenes and live classical music by soloists Nathan Hughes, Principal Oboe from the New York Metropolitan Orchestra and international renowned Cellist, Sæunn Thorsteinsdótti.
Here in Truckee, you can catch a concert on August 19 at Gebhart Amphitheater and on the 21st at PJs at The Golf Club Grays Crossing that includes dinner at the restaurant after the presentation. For more information, check out Lake Tahoe Music Festival’s concerts page and for tickets, you can stop by Tahoe City Visitors Center or Incline Village Visitors Center. You can also purchase tickets through the phone and online.
