You've planned a lovely getaway on the shores of Donner Lake. You've enjoyed some spring skiing at Squaw Valley or Alpine Meadows and scheduled a hike as well, just to test out how Paige Meadows is shaping up in May. After wining and dining your way through Downtown Truckee you're wondering what exactly the locals are up to on a Friday and Saturday evening, or even a lazy Sunday afternoon.

One of Broadway's most famous shows, this musical is the winner of 10 Tony Awards iconic songs by Roger & Hammerstein. And for the first time in years the musical will feature a live orchestra, which makes the experience that much more powerful for viewers.
Set in WWII, South Pacific presented by Truckee's drama club will shed light on an important piece of history and also address many issues of modern concern, such as racism and gender roles. Directed by Carrie Haines, who earned her BFA in Thater Arts at USC, it's a musical you don't want to miss.
