Rent bikes or bring your own!

Shuttles from the shop to the trailheads cost just $18 and are running at half capacity to comply with social distancing guidelines. Everyone wears a mask while onboard, seats are wiped down between trips, and hand sanitizer is available.

Flume Trail

The famous Flume Trail is known for unrivaled views of Lake Tahoe. This one way 14-mile trail at 7000-8000 ft in elevation is moderately difficulty and a lot of fun! With 1000 ft of climbing in the first 4 miles and 4.5 miles of single track, riders will enjoy the ups and downs of the landscape.

The trail begins at Lake Spooner State Park with a canopy of aspens and evergreens before opening to a huge valley surrounded by mountains. After riding through meadows, the trail climbs to Marlette Lake where riders can take a dip! Then it snakes through single track and granite walls to stunning views of Sand Harbor before a steep descent back to the bike shop. It's one of the best mountain biking trails in Lake Tahoe and definitely worth the ride!

Tahoe Rim Trail

The Tahoe Rim Trail is chalk full of small climbs and descents with beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and Washoe Lake in Nevada. This 14-40 mile trail begins at 8700 feet above Tahoe Meadows on the Mt. Rose Highway. The trail runs parallel with the highway, then descends through the meadows, over the bridge and briefly joins the Ophir Creek Trail. After a 265 ft climb out of the meadows, riders contour their way to Tunnel Creek road.

This challenging trail requires riders to loft their front wheel over the many solo rock steps before descending just over 3 miles back to the bike shop. For riders wanting more than 14 miles, they'll continue on the TRT over Marlette Peak at 900 ft climbing from Tunnel Creek Road then downhill to Marlette Lake. They'll ride around Marlette to the Flume Trail following it to Tunnel Creek road where they'll descend to the bike shop.

Fuel up at Tunnel Creek Café

After bombing the hill at the end of the trail, dismount and get ready to smash tasty burgers and grilled sandwiches at Tunnel Creek Café! The café boasts 8 beers on tap and their spacious decks set the scene for ultimate relaxation after an adrenaline-pumping ride. Fuel up before the start of your ride with takeaway coffee and delicious breakfast. The Tunnel Creek Café is a great place to start and end your mountain bike adventure.
