Kick Off the Holiday Season with Truckee Tree Lighting

About 3 week(s) ago by Donner Lake Village

Watch Historic Downtown Truckee come alight with its annual Bud Fish Tree Lighting and Holiday Festival this Friday, November 22nd from 4:30PM to 6:30PM. It's a 21-year tradition upheld by the Downtown Merchants Association and Rotary Club of Truckee.

Families will love the sense of togetherness these festivities bring. Walk among the beautifully lit Christmas trees lining Donner Pass Road. Listen to your favorite carols fill the air while drinking hot chocolate and holding hands.  Stroll the streets admiring holiday inspired shop windows and buy a special present to take home.

Authentic Gifts

Step inside the boutique shops and you'll find the mountain landscape reflected in the fabrics, materials, and unique jewelry.  Browse artisan gifts, home décor, and wood work to find the perfect gift.

Eats & Sweets

Come for the tree lighting. Stay for dinner. The Downtown Truckee streets are lined with restaurants. Grab a table outside while warming yourself with a local brew or mulled wine. Share a pizza with the family or have a pulled pork burger all to yourself.  Grab tasty sweets like fudge and caramels for the kiddos and sneak a kiss with your partner under the mistletoe while taking in the beautiful night sky.

Getting Here

Make your way to 10128 Donner Pass Road, Truckee CA for the holiday festivities. Tree Lighting kicks off at 5:15PM in front of the train station, and Santa comes at 4:30PM for those eagerly wanting to see him.
