Lake Tahoe Fourth of July Fun In Truckee
Known for some of the best fireworks shows in the country, it's no wonder people come from around the world to celebrate the holiday near America's largest alpine lake. Fourth of July in Lake Tahoe is host to a vast array of celebrations along the shore, north to south, and inland to our hometown of Truckee, CA. If you're lucky enough to stay with us over summer's most festive weekend, here are a few happenings you won't want to miss:
Truckee's 4th of July Firecracker Mile 2015
10995 Donner Pass Road

A short, scenic run along the same route as our town's famous holiday parade, your $15-$30 registration fee supports a local youth group.
A Hometown 4th of July Parade

The Americana heart of our lakeside town shines forth in this old-fashioned annual tradition, weaving the Wells Fargo horse-drawn stagecoach, local bagpipers, and classic cars through Truckee's historic Downtown.
Tahoe City's Fireworks Show & Beach Bash

Because Truckee's holiday fireworks are a resident-only affair, guests are encouraged to join this nearby all-day street fair and picnic on the beach.
