Saturday Hikes – Spoiled for Choice
Choose from eight different hikes, each with varying degrees of difficulty ranging from 3-6 miles. Whether you're traversing Roller Pass and reaching the top of Mt Judah or walking through historical Summit Canyon, you'll be spoiled for choice. Enjoy a hamburger lunch and listen to stories from local historian, Greg Palmer, sharing 30 yrs of experience leading Donner Party hikes! Then in the afternoon be captivated by a living history performance with music from Alice and the Wonderlandz featuring original songs written from the Donner Party's point of view.
Sunday Walking Tour – See into the Past
Lace up your boots for an additional walking tour on Sunday at Alder Creek and the State Park where Donner Party families wintered in 1846-47. Watch the Donner Party movie documentary and explore the Emigrant Trail Museum. End the day at Donner Memorial State Park with a view of Murphy's Cabin and Pioneer Monument.
