Support local, eat local. A collaboration between Sierra Valley Farms and Slow Food Lake Tahoe, the Truckee Community Farmers Market offers the local Truckee-Tahoe community a chance to eat farm fresh produce and artisan-quality foods cultivated within 125 miles of the Tahoe area.
Instead of purchasing fruits and vegetables harvested thousands of miles away, you can hop on your bike and cruise over to the Sears and CoffeeBar Bakery Center to select produce, farm-raised meats, and hand crafted specialty foods!
The Truckee Community Farmers Market is happening every Sunday from 10AM to 2PM, June 14th to September 27th. That means you have just a few weeks left to experience the ultimate local’s weekend Truckee outing! It’s also a family friendly excursion, so be sure to bring the kiddos with you to taste what a freshly picked Honeycrisp apple tastes like, or acorn squash in season! Fall is just around the bend, so soak up the last of late summer while you can.
